Course Description
This Child & Baby Emergency Responder course will equip the attendee with the essential skills required to save a child or baby's life until the emergency services arrive. Attendees will also be able to identify and treat a number of common childhood illnesses and will gain an understanding how and when to activate the emergency services.

Course Content
- First Aid in the Childcare Environment
- The Unconscious Casualty Management (Primary & Secondary Survey)
- Safe Airway Position (Recovery Position)
- Choking (Child/Baby)
- Burns & Scalds
- CPR Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (Child/Baby)
- Common Medical Conditions including Diabetes, Epilepsy, Asthma & Anaphylaxis.
Course Assessment
This course is subject to ongoing assessment by the Instructor throughout the course. There is no final assessment. The Instructor observes attendees practice sessions as the training progresses to ensure the required level of understanding.
Course Certification
All successful attendees will be awarded a certificate which meets all the requirements laid down by Sure Start for Nannies registering on The Childcare Approval Scheme, this certificate is valid for three years.
Course Costs
On-site courses start from £360.00 for up to and including 16 students.

Courses can be split in to smaller bit size chunks to suit your personal needs at an additional cost.
