Course Description
The aims and objectives of the Sports Appointed Persons First Aid course are to provide the attendee with the essential skills required to carry out the basic life support required to save an adult or child's life until the emergency services arrive. All attendees will gain an understanding of the treatment of sports related injuries such as sprains / strains and head & spinal injuries.

- Dealing with an Emergency
- Priorities of Treatment
- The Unconscious Casualty Management (Primary & Secondary Survey)
- Safe Airway Position (Recovery Position)
- Choking (Adult/Child)
- Bleeding & Shock
- CPR Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (Adult/Child)
- Head, Neck & Spinal Injuries
- Strains & Sprains
Course Assessment
This course is subject to ongoing assessment by the Instructor throughout the course. There is no final assessment. The Instructor observes attendees practice sessions as the training progresses to ensure the required level of understanding.
Course Certification
All successful attendees will be awarded a certificate that meets all the requirements for an Appointed Person in the Workplace as recommended by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) along with the addition of the sports injury modules.
Course Costs
On-site courses start from £360.00 for up to and including 12 students.

Courses can be split in to smaller bit size chunks to suit your personal needs at an additional cost.
Individual places on our open courses start from £60.00 per person.
