Contact us for more information about group bookings.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEnquire Now\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRQF / OfQual Recognition\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis qualification is part of the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) and is regulated by OfQual (the official regulator of qualifications in England, Wales and Northern Ireland).\n\nUnit 1 Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF)\nUnit 1 Credits: 1\nGuided Learning Hours: 6 minimum\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEmergency First Aid at Work Course Content\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOn completion of training, successful candidates should be able to:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAdminister first aid to a casualty who is unconscious (including seizure);\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAdminister cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR);\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCorrectly use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) including following the voice prompts and correct pad placement;\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAdminister first aid to a casualty who is choking;\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAdminister first aid to a casualty who is wounded and bleeding;\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAdminister first aid to a casualty who is suffering from shock;\n\n\n\n\n\n\nProvide appropriate first aid for minor injuries (including small cuts, grazes and bruises, minor burns and scalds, small splinters).\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEmergency First Aid at Work Assessment\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAssessment method:\nOngoing practical assessment by the course trainer/s throughout the duration of the course in a low stress environment.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEmergency First Aid at Work Course Duration\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNormally (1 day) but can be broken down into smaller sessions with a minimum of 6 hours contact teaching hours (excluding lunch and breaks).\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFirst Aid at Work Course Package\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOn completion of training, successful candidates should be able to:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMinimum of 1 trainer per 12 attendees.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nInteractive hands on practical training.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOne AED training unit per 2 attendees.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOne CPR training manikin (Adult) per attendee.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEasy to follow individual course manual.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA recognised qualification certificate with 3 years license to practice.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEmergency First Aid at Work Certification / Revalidation\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOn successful completion of the course, attendees will be issued with the Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work RQF qualification valid for 3 years. \nThe Emergency First Aid at Work qualification is revalidated by completing the same course within 3 years.\nHolders of this qualification are strongly recommended by the HSE to attended a 3 hour Annual Update training course every year.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEmergency First Aid at Work Course Cost\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOn-site courses can be held at your own venue, starting from £450 + VAT for up to and including 12 attendees.\nIndividual places on our open courses held in the South West region start from as little as £75 + VAT per attendee.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
