What Are Emergency First Aid Courses?

Emergency First Aid courses are designed to teach people of all levels of skill how to practice first aid in emergency situations. Our courses range from the FREE Basic First Aid For Parents or Guardians through to Level 2 Awards in Basic Life Support and Level Three Awards in Emergency First Aid.

Why Attend An Emergency First Aid Course?

There are many reasons why you might want to attend an Emergency First Aid course with us in Gloucestershire. Typical reasons for learning emergency first aid skills include:

  • For learning how to deal with emergency first aid situations at home for parents or guardians.
  • For learning how to provide basic life support in emergency situations and how to administer life-saving defibrillation procedures, or managing anaphylaxis
  • For being a first aider at work where you may need to deal with emergency first aid situations in the workplace

Who Needs To Attend An Emergency First Aid Course?

It does not matter what your place or purpose in life is, emergency first aid is a skill which can dramatically change the course of someone’s life. There are some people, such as nominated first aiders at work, who will have to undertake emergency first aid training and annual update training for legal reasons. Others will want to have emergency first aid skills to ensure safety during outdoor events, or simple for parents wanting to make sure they are able to provide emergency first aid if their child falls ill, or is injured. We encourage everyone to learn the basic skills of emergency first aid. Having the knowledge of how to help somebody needing emergency first aid can be the difference between life and death.
